What are your views/concerns about the future of privacy. (Don't talk generally, have a specific focus and argument).

Privacy has always been an important aspect in the society that we live in. Our lives have the right to be a private matter, matters that are confidential and something that shouldn’t be up for public scrutiny. But recent technological advancements and a myriad of social networking tools are doing exactly the opposite. Our so called personal lives don’t seem to be so personal anymore. The way people think and act are changing with the generation and that seems to put a big blow to the term privacy.

People, mostly youngster, have taken the term to a different level. These days, thanks largely due to these social networking tools, the public don’t seem to take heed in the necessary measures needed to protect one’s privacy. People seem to put up all sorts of information on their Facebook page, tagging random pictures and making their whereabouts available via Twitter and Facebook. Normally, this sort of behavior would be deemed unsafe as you wouldn’t generally give out such information to a stranger. But that is exactly what is happening when such actions are done on these social networks, which is available for “friends” to view, and sometimes even unknown people.

The view of such private matters are changing by the day and it is a concerning matter. People have seem to forgot how important privacy is to one’s life and are readily making private information available on such public mediums. If the public continue this trend then they have only themselves to blame when it comes back to bite them.
